This course was designed for anyone who wants to learn in detail about all the processing of wool fiber, from the raw fleece to the yarn. It's no secret that wool is one of our greatest passions, so this will be a day of sharing and total immersion in this wonderful fiber, which begins with raw fleece and ends with yarn.

We will start by talking about the processes that influence the quality of the wool we obtain and by learning how to assess the quality of raw wool, from the entire fleece to the fiber detail.
Then we will learn about the principles of washing wool, using a practical method for those with little space. Wool washing is one of the most delicate steps and one where mistakes are most often made, so we will be strict with this part.
After washing our wool, we will learn how to prepare the fibers for spinning, through carding and combing. At the end of the workshop, we will also introduce spindle and/or spinning wheel spinning.
This workshop includes all the necessary material, including cards, combs, drum carding, spindles, spinning wheels, as well as different types of wool from indigenous breeds, making it an excellent opportunity to learn about and try out all kinds of equipment and feedstock.
