About us

The Saber Fazer is an initiative that since 2011 has been dedicated to research, appreciation and dissemination of artisanal and semi-industrial production techniques in Portugal. It was created to ensure the transfer of technical knowledge and to educate and raise the general public's awareness of the fundamental issues surrounding this topic and which are related to sustainability, not only environmental but also social and economic.

OUR STORE

This is our online store, where we offer a selection of the best materials and equipment for all makers, whether experienced or novice. Our store allows us to train artisans by providing them with good advice and monitoring the acquisition of specific materials.

Our physical space, at Rua da Aliança 112-114 in Porto, also works as a store, so it is possible to purchase equipment and materials in person.

Sat and Sun: closed

We specialize in equipment and miscellaneous material dedicated to manufacturing, especially in the textile area. The available products were carefully selected by us and are what we recommend to those who are starting in these tasks and those who are already experienced.

We are national representatives of some of the most interesting brands, such as Louet, Kromski, TexSolv, Glimakra, Golden Fleece Carders or Toika, and we are constantly expanding our range of products.
