Flick carder - Golden Fleece Carders

This Flick carder is a practical tool to open the strands in preparation for carding or spinning.
The base is curved and comfortable at about 10x5cm and has a less flexible cloth than the usual handcards, which helps to open those more felted ends.
The cloth has a density of 72TPI, which makes it perfectly suitable for Portuguese wools.

What does "TPI" mean? TPI refers to "teeth per inch." The TPI defines the density of the teeth on the card cloth. A denser cloth will have more teeth per unit of surface area and will be more suitable for carding finer wools. A less dense cloth has fewer teeth and is better suited for thicker wools.
