Hand carder pad

These carding pads are suitable for most common wool and fibers. It can be used for making your own hand carders or as replacement cloth for worn out carders. Fine pad.

The 72 TPI cloths are the most versatile for use with Portuguese wools. However, if you want to card very fine wools, we advise you to use the 120TPI cloths.

The card cloths are sold individually. One piece = one cloth.

SPECIFICATION:
- Total cloth area: 19x10cm;
- Density: 72TPI or 120TPI;

What does "TPI" mean? TPI refers to "teeth per inch." The TPI defines the density of the teeth on the card cloth. A denser cloth will have more teeth per unit of surface area and will be more suitable for carding finer wools. A less dense cloth has fewer teeth and is better suited for thicker wools.
