Pomegranate peel powder for mordant or dyeing
Pomegranate peel powder for mordant or dyeing
Pomegranate peels have a high tannin content, so they work exceptionally well on cellulosic fibers such as cotton or linen. Like Myrobalan, they can be used as a pre-mordant for cellulosic fibers. When used without a mordant, it dyes pale yellows, and with a mordant, it dyes bright yellows.
Recommendation: For pre-mordanting cellulosic fibers, it is recommended to use 20-30% of powder in relation to the weight of the fibers.
It is available in bags of 100gr and 500gr, in the form of a fine powder.
